About PEAK and disclaimer
PEAK (Parents of Estranged Adult Kids) was started by 3 mothers whose child had estranged themselves from the family. The idea came at the beginning of COVID 2020. They could not find much support for this situation and the more they opened themselves up to others by sharing about their estranged child, the more they realized there is a need for support. Unfortunately this is becoming a more common situation. By 2021, people were ready to come out of their homes and the first PEAK meeting was held February 2021.
